The brief
Send us your best automotive photo taken in the last 30 days. A rolling shot, a static in a car park at 2am, a dusty rally car, your mate's Corolla with the sun in the right place.
Nothing from the archive. The point is to get you out shooting this month, not digging through a hard drive. We check the date on the file when we shortlist.
The car doesn't have to be exotic. The photo has to be good. One entry per person, so picking your best one is half the battle.
How it's judged
Not your gear, not your following, and definitely not how much you donated. See exactly how we score every entry.
Every month from here
From Round 02 each month runs to its own theme, so everyone's shooting the same brief. And entries split into two leagues judged separately: Pro for anyone who shoots cars for money, Beginner for everyone else. Nobody picking up a camera this year should have to go up against someone who does this for a living.
This month there are no themes and no divisions. One category, everyone in together. Get your entry in and you're on the list for the rest.

The entry cost
Every entry needs a donation to Gumboot Friday. No minimum, no maximum. Ten cents counts. So does ten thousand dollars.
Gumboot Friday pays for free counselling for young New Zealanders. No wait list, no referral, no cost to them.
Scan the code, or use the link. Donations go through Givealittle straight to the I Am Hope Foundation, so the money never touches Elite Exposure.
Donate & enter ↗The best thing photography ever did for me was give me a reason to leave the house. Be somewhere at 6am for the light. Message a stranger about their car. Work out what your camera actually does instead of reading about it. Come back with something better than last month.
That's the whole point of this. Not the hundred bucks. Get out, get creative, meet people who are into the same thing, and get better at it. Which is exactly why your photo has to be from the last 30 days. Not your best shot ever. Your best shot from this month. Go and make one.
